Eurydice dying revisited by myself

Based on a sculpture from The Louvre Museum, Paris
the original mythological story behind this piece says that Aristaeus saw and pursued Eurydice, who stepped on a viper, was bitten, and died instantly. ... When Orpheus later was killed by the Maenads at the orders of Dionysus, his soul ended up in the Underworld where he was reunited with Eurydice.
My version includes the death mask which ties in with my exploration around death
